Gaea Schell (flute/piano), and leader of 'Quinteto de Luna Nueva', heralds from Canada, and though is best known as a straight ahead jazz pianist, has recently been traveling to Mexico and Cuba and playing (and recording) flute increasingly with Latin groups. She has performed with John Stowell, Nancy King, Albert 'Tootie' Heath, Clare Fischer Big Band, Marcus Shelby, Kellye Gray, Bobby Watson, Vince Lateano, Richie Cole and Sol Caribe de Cuba.Bill Ortiz's (trumpet, of the Santana Band), co-leader, performing/recording credits include work with such diverse and dynamic artists as Tito Puente, Chucho Valdez, Destiny’s Child, Tony Toni Tone, Cachao, Herbie Hancock, Don Cherry, Cindy Blackman-Santana, Boz Scaggs, Eagle Eye Cherry, Wayne Shorter, Ravi Coltrane, Chick Corea, The Dramatics, En Vogue, Buddy Guy, Lauryn Hill, Bobby Hutcherson, Pete Escovedo and Sheila E,…
